Graduation Party Porta Potty Guide
A graduation party for 100 guests over 4 to 5 hours needs 2 to 3 standard porta potties, plus 1 handwashing station when food is served. In Summit County, book 3 to 4 weeks ahead, because late May through June is the busiest stretch of the year for party rentals.

How many porta potties for a graduation party?
Plan 1 standard porta potty per 50 graduation guests for up to 4 hours. Open houses often run 4 to 6 hours with guests coming and going, so add 1 unit per 150 guests for the extra time. If beer or wine is served, add 1 more per 150 guests.
| Guests | Open house 3–4 hours | Open house 5–6 hours | With beer/wine |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| 100 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
| 150 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
| 200 | 4 | 6 | 8 |

When to book
Book graduation party porta potties 3 to 4 weeks ahead in Summit County. Saturdays from late May through June book first, and pink or deluxe units go earliest. Units are delivered Friday and picked up Monday, so a Saturday or Sunday open house costs the same.
Placement for a backyard open house
Place graduation party porta potties at the edge of the driveway or side yard, at least 50 feet from food tables and downwind, with a handwashing station beside them. Keep them visible from the party so guests do not wander into the house, and in partial shade on hot June afternoons.
